Learning Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Specialist with experience working with students in a school-based setting to join an excellent school district in Suwanee, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs and collaborate closely with educators to ensure academic success. The role will involve providing targeted academic interventions, creating individualized learning plans, and supporting students with learning differences in achieving their educational goals. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with identified learning needs, focusing on reading, writing, math, and executive functioning skills.

• Conduct academic assessments and use data to develop and implement targeted learning plans.

• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, school staff, and families to support students’ academic progress.

• Monitor and document student progress toward goals and adjust instruction based on ongoing evaluation.

• Support the implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans, contributing to meetings as needed.

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and confidence.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Education, or related field

• Valid state teaching license or certification with appropriate endorsement (e.g., Special Education, Learning Specialist)

• Experience working with students with learning disabilities or academic challenges in a K–12 setting

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teams and families

• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and academic interventions
